It is such an honour for our school to post a few pictures taken during our first Skype videocalls between Charleston D.S and ours!
Both the students in 6°and 1°ESO took part in them in consecutive days.Mr C.'s students asked several questions to our kids as well as ours introduced themselves, both English and Spanish.
We will carry out more tasks together since we feel honoured to have had the chance to welcome a whole family for the school year among us.

It's several years of watching her sitting at the front row during the lessons.
She always wanted to take part,to read even before having a clue whether the reading would be an easy one or not.
I stick to her voice.It was then Alex and Dani got so brave as to try and read the 'rat' role in that reading that started with that of 'Wanda the Witch is at home...'
And then one day she gave me something as a souvenir of the day she took her Communion.I still keep it as a bookmark.
And in 1°ESO,she gave that speech about the different kinds of flamenco dance...
And that day I entered the classroom and she was crying since she had already finished reading a novel whose ending was not as happy as she expected.
You will never get used to this.
It's the second time I will say bye to a student and now the hours we spent in the same class come running wildly from the back of my mind.
When you teach,you see your kids grow up and you know they will stick in your memory as the kids they were. We talked about our shared origins in the sense her parents come from the same place as me.I remember her as someone who craved for reading.
I once wrote her name in my 'school records' book and then it was like that year after year...her name and her surnames.
I just looked for that piece of cardboard with her name and the date of her Communion in it and I read it once and over again.She got stuck in our memories as a little child then and in our memory she will still be like then

Our kids in 3° and 4° have done some Christmas decorations to hand them in several classes.They tried their best.
Our kids in 5° will perform an Irish sort of Christmas carol,with a few Irish dancing steps in it while their classmates do the singing...
So it seems we can call it an international Christmas,thanks to these cards we got from several countries three years ago.

Buenas tardes a todos.
A lo largo de estos días aparecerán colgadas en PASEN las notas de los controles de esta semana de 3°,4° y 5°.
La puntuación máxima del control serán 3 PUNTOS.
Como ya informé por PASEN con respecto al control anterior y ,de acuerdo con los criterios de evaluación que se les entregaron a principio de curso,la nota final de cada trimestre corresponde a cómo se han abordado las cuatro destrezas (Listening/Speaking/Reading/Writing) en clase y en las actividades propuestas para casa, asi como al nivel de compromiso con la asignatura.
Cada vez que hay un atentado, cuelgo esta fotografía.
La primera vez que visité Londonderry o Derry en Irlanda del Norte, me impactó esta estatua.
Un amigo de alli me explicó que simboliza las dos religiones que están próximas a entenderse pero siguen sin darse la mano.
Hoy mis pensamientos van a París, a mis amigas de alli (una de ellas,musulmana de raíces argelinas) a las que conocí en mis dos años en Irlanda del Norte.A sus familias.
Siempre han sido tan generosas,tan bonitas por dentro y por fuera.
No juzguemos una religión por las atrocidades de los extremistas radicales.
Mi primera toma de contacto con los conflictos entre religiones fue al vivir en Omagh y trabajar en un colegio católico y otro protestante.Conviví con católicos y protestantes como amigos.
Alli aprendí a ver lo que es querer conseguir que se unan esas manos y se acabe el dolor.
Viví el 11M en Omagh y recibí tanto cariño del pueblo aquellos días que es una deuda moral que me acompañará toda la vida.Por eso, cada vez que sucede algo que tiene como base alguna religión, recurro a esta foto y al aprendizaje vital de aquellos días.
Hoy dedicamos esta fotografía a todos los que sufren a diario por la sinrazón de otros.
